How to Tune Your Galant for Rally Racing
Horizon 3’s Italia is one of the most beautiful and diverse open worlds in any video game, and the Galant VR4 is the perfect car to take on its twisting roads. Here’s how to tune it for rally racing.
The Galant VR4 is one of the most underrated cars in forza horizon 3 It’s not as fast as the McLaren P1 GTR or the Lamborghini Centenario, but it more than makes up for it with its handling. If you’re looking for a great all-rounder for Horizon 3’s diverse range of events, then the VR4 is the car for you.
And if you really want to get the most out of the VR4, then you need to tune it for rally racing. Rally racing is all about hitting the perfect line through a corner, and being able to adjust your car’s weight transfer mid-corner to keep things tight. The VR4 is perfectly suited to this style of driving, so with a few tweaks to its handling, you can turn it into a real force on the rally stage.
Here are our essential tips on how to tune your Galant VR4 for rally racing in forza horizon 3
Weight Transfer: This is arguably the most important setting when it comes to rallying in Horizon 3. You need to be able to transfer weight quickly and efficiently through corners, and there are two ways to do this with the VR4. Firstly, increase your Front Suspension Stiffness value by around 20%. This will prevent your car from understeering through corners, and will help you get those all-important weight transfers right.
Secondly, increase your Rear Suspension Stiffness by 10%. This will make your car oversteer slightly more, which might not sound ideal, but trust us – it’ll help you keep those powerslides nice and tidy through corners. As long as you’re precise with your throttle input, you’ll be able to keep things under control without too much trouble. Just don’t go too crazy with this value; 10% is more than enough.
Wheelbase: One of the VR4’s biggest strengths is its long wheelbase, which gives it incredible stability at high speeds. However, that same stability can work against you when trying to powerslide through corners, so it’s important that you make a few adjustments here. First up, increase your Front Wheel Width by 10mm. This will make your car more nimble and easier to slide through corners. Just be careful not to go too wide; anything over 12mm will start to make your car feel unstable at high speeds.
Next up, decrease your Rear Wheel Width by 5mm or so. This will help reduce oversteer and make it easier for you to catch slides if they start getting out of control – which trust us, they definitely will from time to time! Once again though, don’t go too crazy here; too much width reduction will make your car prone to understeering in corners. 5mm should be plenty

Let’s get started!
How to Set Up Your Galant for Rally Racing
If you’re looking to get the most out of your Galant for rally racing in forza horizon 3 there are a few key things you’ll need to do in order to tune it properly. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to set up your Galant for rally racing so that you can take advantage of its unique strengths on the track.
Rally racing is all about managing traction and keeping your car under control, so the first thing you’ll want to do is lower your Galant’s ride height. This will bring the center of gravity down and make the car more stable in sharp turns. You should also add some weight to the rear of the car to help with traction.
Next, you’ll need to adjust your suspension settings. Stiffen up the front shocks and lower the front ride height to help with weight transfer and keep the nose of the car from lifting in turns. For the rear, you’ll want to do the opposite: soften up the shocks and raise the ride height so that you have more contact with the ground.
Finally, make sure your tires are properly inflated and that your wheels are properly aligned. This will help with both traction and wear over time. With these simple adjustments, your Galant will be ready to take on any rally course!
The Final Tune
This is the rally tune that I used for the Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 in Forza Horizon 3. This tune is a routes specific one and works very well on point to point and sprint tracks. This tune is created with the use of racing struts, shocks, springs, and tires. I would recommend using this tune on a Racing Sprint setup with maxed out suspension parts. You can use this tune on any surface except for snow or ice.
nput Sensitivity: 55/55
Pressure Plate: 100/100
